A little bit about me.....
Hi there, my name is John and I would like to thank you for viewing my website!

I suppose it would be worth it if I told you a little bit about myself. I was born in Frimley and have lived in Aldershot, the Home of the British Army all my life. My primary education took place at St Joseph's Catholic Primary Academy in Aldershot, where I studied between 2004 and 2011. In September 2011, I took up my secondary studies at All Hallows Catholic School and Sixth Form College in Farnham, where I studied between 2011 and 2017 where after a year completing a Level 2 BTEC in Business in the Sixth Form College, I decided I would move on to pastures new. In September 2017, I re-located my college studies to Farnham Sixth Form College where I studied a BTEC Level 3 National Diploma in Creative Media Production as well as a BTEC Level 3 Certificate and Extended Certificate in Applied Law.

In amongst my studies I've undertaken many different hobbies, and had many different interests which I'd like to share with you. I spent 10 years as a member of the Scout Association in Blackwater Valley Scout District being a part of 2nd Aldershot Scout Group and 4th Aldershot W.E.B.S Scout Group. I was a member of Stagecoach Theatre Arts School based at Farnham College between 2008 and 2018. I've also been a Drummer since 2011 during which time I have successfully completed my Grades 1-6 either being awarded a Pass, Merit or Distinction in each grade. I also work part time at Aldershot's McDonald's Drive-Thru where I hold the position of Customer Experience Leader, which means that I am in charge of overshadowing events in the dining area by ensuring that customers get the highest level of service and providing high quality hospitality for the many customers who pass through our doors on a daily basis.

I am a very devout Roman Catholic, which I am very proud about. I was originally brought up in the faith through the Church of England when I worshipped at S. Silas the Martyr in Kentish Town, the church in which I was baptised and received my Anglican Confirmation and First Holy Communion. My family and I were received into full Communion with the Roman Catholic Church on 27th June 2009, the memorial of S. Cyril of Alexandria and since then I have worshipped in the Parish of St Joseph's and St Mary's in Aldershot, where I serve as the Parish Master of Ceremonies, a role to which I was appointed in October 2014, which means I prepare everything that is needed for the Liturgies of the Church as well as overseeing the training of the Altar Servers and ensuring the smooth ceremonial flow of the Solemn Mass on a Sunday morning, and where my father serves as the Parish Deacon, having been ordained in July 2016 which has led me to begin the process of discerning a vocation. I have served Mass for many prominent Catholic leaders not only in the UK but from Rome as well. These include my own Bishop, the Rt. Rev. Philip Egan; the Archbishop of Southwark, the Most Rev. John Wilson; the Cardinal Archbishop of Westminster, H.E Vincent Cardinal Nichols and H.E Francis Cardinal Arinze. I'm also due to serve Mass for H.E Robert Cardinal Sarah later in 2020.

I've always been a big lover of Politics. A big supporter of the Coalition Government between 2010-2015, I began supporting the Conservative Party in 2016, shortly after the EU Referendum. In September 2017, I officially registered as a Member of the Conservative Party to support Theresa May, and now Boris Johnson and the MPs that sit on the Government benches. In August 2018, I finally managed to begin getting involved locally with the Aldershot and North Hampshire Conservative Association, and the revival of Aldershot Young Conservatives. Activities that I've been involved with include canvassing with my MP, Leo Docherty and members of the Council as well as visiting Parliament and meeting James Cleverly MP, Tom Pursglove MP, Michael Gove MP, Angela Richardson MP; and in addition attending the Monthly Curry Club in Farnborough and getting the opportunity to enjoy a curry and have a good conversation with MPs such as Gillian Keegan, Jonathan Lord and Caroline Dinenage. In February 2020, I was elected Chairman of Aldershot Young Conservatives, and I've also been lucky enough to be part of a virtual round table discussion via Zoom with Vice Chairman of the Conservative Party for Youth, Andrew Bowie MP.
